Sachiko Yano

1996 Graduated from Osaka Municipal Kogei High School, Department of Design 1999 Completed lacquerware studies at Kyoto Traditional Crafts College 2001 Completed Kyoto city lacquer work course and special course in 2001 studied under lacquer artist Toshinobu Hattori 2007~ Independent production of her art together with her husband at their home studio in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.

Lacquer art is a technique of art by applying the sap from the lacquer tree to the surface of a vessel and drawing patterns on it.
