Takeyoshi Mitsui

Born in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, in 1987.  After graduating from the arts and design department of Kurashiki University of Arts and Sciences in 2010 and the arts and design department of the graduate school in 2012, he belonged to Toyama Glass Workshop and became independent in 2016. After working in Australia, he is currently working in Toyama.

It is a work created by the artist himself by air blowers, one with a hard shape and a quiet glass with a dignified appearance, and the other with a unique world view that personifies glass to create the imagination of the material's richness and flexibility. While it appears to be two distinctly contrasting works, the boundaries of the word "yo" and "beauty," the glass is engraved with his handwriting, making each one rare, and the object a place of rest for the humorous, weak-shoulder pick-up. Mitsui's lightness, which goes back and forth between these two-sided expression activities, and his expressive ability, which is never stereotyped, make each one unique.
