Pale Blue-Green Bowl

A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa.
In the kiln, ash met the glaze and settled into a soft blue-green, lighter at the rim and deepening toward the foot. The exposed clay at the base reveals where the flame touched it directly.

An open, gently flared shape. Well suited for rice, soup, noodles, or a simple salad. The cool tone brings out the freshness of greens and warmer colors.

With use, the clay gradually absorbs oils and the surface develops greater depth and richness over time.

Care: Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Soak in water before first use.
