Pale Blue-Green Bowl

A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa. In the kiln, ash met the glaze and settled into a soft blue-green, pale at the rim and deeper toward the foot. The bare clay at the base shows where the flame touched it directly.

An open, gently flared shape. Good for rice, soup, noodles, or a simple salad. The cool tone makes greens and warm colors look fresh.

With use, the clay absorbs oils and the surface grows richer over time.

Care: Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Soak in water before first use.
