Crackled White Bowl

A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa. A soft white glaze over gray clay, with fine crackles and dark iron specks rising through the surface. The flame leaves each piece a little different.

A deep, generous shape on a small foot. Good for soup, noodles, stews, or a hearty salad.

With use, tea and food slowly settle into the crackles, and the bowl takes on a character all its own.

Care: Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Soak in water before first use.
