Ash Glaze Shallow Bowl

A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa. Ash from the kiln melted into a pale blue-white glaze, gathering unevenly across the gray clay. Each piece comes out of the fire differently.

A wide, open shape on a small foot. Good for salads, pasta, simmered vegetables, or fruit. The soft tones let the food take center stage.

Over time, the clay takes on the oils of daily use and the surface gains depth.

Care: Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Soak in water before first use.
