Ash Glaze Shallow soy plate

A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa. Ash from the kiln melted into a pale blue-white glaze, gathering unevenly across the gray clay. Each piece comes out of the fire differently.

Made for soy sauce, and just as good for salt, wasabi, pickles, a few olives, or a bite of dessert. It also works as a small tray for rings or earrings

Over time, the clay takes on the oils of daily use and the surface gains depth.

Care: Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Soak in water before first use.
