Shudei Kyusu

This shudei kyusu is made from clay selected and blended by the potter, then aged for more than three years. The unglazed, porous clay is valued for mellowing the flavor of tea over time. The work reflects the potter’s dedication to making kyusu and to the time-intensive process of preparing the clay.
