Soft gray Bowl

A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa.
A soft white glaze covers the clay, with fine crackling and dark iron specks emerging through the surface. The movement of the flame makes each piece slightly different.

A deep, generous shape set on a small foot. Well suited for soup, noodles, stews, or a hearty salad.

With use, tea and food gradually settle into the crackles, allowing the bowl to develop a character all its own.

Care: Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Soak in water before first use.
