Ash-Speckled Tea Bowl

Kangawa Ash-Fired Bowl
A wood-fired stoneware bowl by Yoshio Kangawa, made with Hiroshima clay.
In the kiln, ash settled and melted into a glassy pool on one side, while the rest of the surface stayed matte — a record of where the bowl sat in the flame.
Good for rice, with tea. No two are alike; each one is shaped by clay, ash, and flame.

Ø 4.7 in (12 cm) / H 2.7 in (6.9 cm)
